Why so drastically cut?

I really love Jenny Slate, and am also a fan of Zach Galifianakis. I've been meaning to see this one, but just read from IMDB that:

25 minutes from the film were cut when it was released on VOD services. The only available streaming versions of the film runs for 81 minutes and is missing most of the scenes shown in the theatrical cut.

Why was so much cut from the film?
