I watched the movie but just couldn't understand what is Fletcher demanding money from Raymond. The narration keeps going back and forth, past to present. I understand he has a script that he is trying to sell out later in the end?

he is trying to blackmail them. if they dont pay, scripts go public. (pig lover guy)

late, when everything is gone by, he is trying to sell it movie producer.
