Why did Lev kill his past family (and I think his past stub self)? I didn't understand the logic of that, I may have missed something.
Also, why couldn't Jasper get into the car he'd left on the train tracks. It showed a remote control inside the car, but how and why did he lock it when he got out?
Lev killed his other selves because he didn't want them to compete with him. He also didn't want any of his enemies to get a hold of another copy of himself.

They are selling it fairly cheap for download. Which indicates to me that Amazon has really, truly cut it loose and will not make a new season.
that's a shame. As I recall it was enjoyable and not terribly done at all. I remember Chloe and the guy who played her brother did a fine job.
