Disappointed (possible spoilers)

The series started out good enough but declined toward the end. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed, because I was hoping for more.

One of the problems was that the parameters of the story were not adequately explained. For example, we're supposed to believe the story takes place around 2032 (10 years into the future) when things like motorized buggies for amputees exist. Ok, maybe that could happen, but a lot of other things look the same as today. But what about "haptic-response soldiers"? That seems like a bit more of a stretch, but still, ok - maybe.

Now fast forward to futuristic London. What's been invented by this time? It seems like things ranging from the most realistic-looking androids ever to moving tattoos to foolproof holograms that mask entire cities. So breaking into a restricted area is probably impossible by this time, right? Well, no - it's actually kind of easy. Just need to fool a human guard, or in another instance, you just need to defeat four androids armed with hand-to-hand combat weapons. Huh? It was just too hard to be invested in the story in futuristic London when you didn't know what was physically possible or not.

The second problem was that the story just got too convoluted. The screenwriters didn't seem to develop the ideas well enough and express them in enough ways to make it understandable, and also to make it worth our time. Why should we care? What is at stake? Because of this, the series started to fizzle out in the last few episodes.
