Great show

There aren't many, if any other shows in which old houses are restored with the proper style and materials for their periods. Waterman does a great job bringing vintage houses back to life, the way they were intended to be, while also making them comfortable for their current owners. Unfortunately, DIY doesn't seem to have much interest in keeping the show going. It went for more than a dozen episodes in its first season, down to only six in the most recent (2019). I think the majority of the public dislikes old houses, or only wants to see them renovated with all the latest trendy stuff until their historical appearance is gone, Property Brothers style. Also, Waterman works solo and doesn't currently have a cute blonde wife or a baby to include on the show, which HGTV/DIY viewers seem to demand.
