Do these people just wake up to dinosaurs trying to eat them?

Apparently so. Every time the stupidity of the story sinks in, BOOM, BLAM WRAHHH, followed by some insane chase with explosions, dinos, and Action. I swear, this movie is the equivalent of the George Burgeron's metal ear radio Handicap (Kurt Vonnegut's character).
