My *unspoiled* review. Loved it btw!!

Ben Platt is amazing.

So happy I gave this a chance on Netflix. I binge watched the entire season, and just got done. It’s over the top good. Ben is really something else, he has talent that is so fresh and passionate. I went into this not knowing who Ben is and he blew me away - I was moved by his performances.

This show is *different* it’s got so many layers to it and it moves quick. The scenes are shot perfectly, you can tell production was well thought out. Hair makeup and wardrobe are spot on for the filthy rich living in 2019 Santa Monica.

The casting couldn’t be any better IMO. A really tight knit crew with great chemistry all around.

Ben sings, and I hate shows that turn into mini musicals or like “glee” but this is different. His voice is phenomenal, the first time he performs is going to knock your socks off if you’ve never heard him sing before. And the song is a damn tear jerker, but not, at the same time.

Again, this show is different... You will understand once you watch it.

This show is deep, it’s funny, it’s dark... It hits A LOT of diff topics.

it’s not exactly political in every sense but politics are a big part. It’s about a High school student “politician”. There seems to be an agenda but more so educational - and fact related rather than pushing too much opinion on one side. It’s real life, a lot to do with home life and allows the cast to be opinionated and real which I like *alot*. IMO I don’t think anyone should be offended as far as politics go - however I’m a Libertarian - and I’m pretty much not sparked when it comes to a lot of the BS on movies or tv shows nowadays. If I don’t like it, I don’t watch it / and maybe talk a little shizt LOL.

*****I do want to mention that Mental illness is a huge part of this show it’s brought up a lot..

I’m not going to use a spoiler alert bc it could trigger someone, especially someone with suicidal thoughts, PTSD, depression, similar feelings... suicide is a big part of the first two episodes and it could possibly be somewhat graphic to someone (side note / ive watched some sick shiz and this show is very vanilla to me : but it could bother you so just an FYI)
if you or someone else has any suicidal thoughts or plans of suicide I urge you to reach out to 1-800-273-8255 which is the national suicide hotline or their website : https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ . get yourself into treatment ASAP. if you can’t help yourself and no one is around you can try to Dm Me on here. I’m not always logged on, but I’ll do my best.

And pls know that your feelings are real, and I validate them, it’s not easy to get help, but it’s possible to be mentally healthy and happy with the right help and support. I know first hand.

Just a little message from me to you....

To wrap up my review (I tried not to spoil anything)... Im a bit annoyed I was under the impression that this was a one season show. Will there be a second season? Any news? if there isn’t a second season than the ending really left me ready to flip

But for now!! Go watch it!
