Let's discuss second season (contains spoilers)

I just finished watching the second season and I'm curious what other people think about their story and about characters.

I'm gonna write spoilers now, so if you haven't watched this season yet, stop reading this from now on… After watching this season, I think Betty wasn't a victim. I think she was the villain, not the husband. Sure, husband cheated on her, which is wrong and as we saw he stopped loving her (or never loved) & divorced her, but maybe he had his reasons to do it. What Betty was doing and how she was acting was totally unacceptable and I think she wasn't really right in her head. Let's discuss few moments from the TV show… She dropped her kids outside, in the street and went to party in another state because "she's not the only parent of them". Seriously? What kind of mother would do that, to leave her own kids outside, in the street so their dad can pick them up. Maybe some stranger harms them? Maybe they get in trouble? That was very irresponsible thing as a parent in my opinion. Another unacceptable thing she did was when she started chasing with car Dan when he had kids in the car. She almost put their lives in danger, not only Dan, but her own kids! What kind of parent would do that? Another unacceptable thing she was doing was talking bad language and using vulgar words everywhere, but what was most shocking in this is that she was using those words in front of her kids. She was calling Linda a "whore" and a "slut" in front of her kids. If you watched whole season, you would notice when she is talking on phone with her young kid (boy looks like 7 or 8 years old) and she is referring Linda as a "whore" during the conversation, with 8 years old kid! This is unacceptable! Yes, Dan started serious actions against her starting from restraining order, but all this was caused because of her. Now, imagine, if she wouldn't act like that, wouldn't try to make Dan and Linda's life living her, harassing them on phone everyday, damaging their property, maybe Dan wouldn't be go to such harsh actions like restraining order and preventing her to see her children. If she could move on, act normally, I'm pretty sure Dan would also act nice towards her and wouldn't go to those actions. It was also very clear that she was obsessed with Dan. Now, imagine, you love someone, they love you back, but then one day they replace you with someone else and don't love you anymore. It hurts as hell, I understand that, but what I don't understand - would you still want to be with such person? Would you still ask him to go back to you, even if you know he doesn't love you anymore? I wouldn't. Normal person would just move on and try to find someone else. Lots of people get divorce, but they don't hate each other. They still respect each other. But no, she couldn't do that. She was obsessed with him and she was determined to ruin Dan's life. And at the end, she even killed them, both Dan and Linda. She killed the father of her kids and kids got no parents at all who would take care of them, because she went to jail. What kind of mother would do that? That was very selfish, driven only by her hatred, totally ignoring her children's faith by killing their father who was taking care of them. So, I think villain here was Betty and I don't think she was right in her head. If you watched whole season, you would also notice her inadequate behavior like putting her tongue out and making silly faces. Clearly she was a crazy person. Maybe Dan noticed this and that's why he decided to leave her, who knows, I wouldn't be surprised… Anyway, these are my thoughts about them.
