A real problem with the “don’t worry about winning, just have fun” motto

Is that winning is fun, getting your ass handed to you is not fun. I remember back to my track and cross country days and the meets where I lost were not a whole lot of fun. I agree that you shouldn’t “win at all costs” but Alex is not about winning at all costs, she is just trying to get the team to States which is the whole point.
