I felt sorry for JT's character and not at all for the actor. It was obvious the fan had a developmental issue, when he turned up at the actor's house he should have just signed his stuff and fobbed him off instead of repeatedly threatening this poor bloke.
Easy to say , but i felt for him as a fellow dad, i could feel his stress even tho he was a super successful actor.
His divorce was causing a heavy stress on him.
Some people are successful just cause their looks and connections right, but they ain't empathic. Or even intelligent for that matter. So maybe he was just like " Hey! Fuck this guy!"
Ill have to watch the fan i heard martin Scorsese was a producer! .
The Fan is more psychological on the fan's part. It's quite sinister in places. I haven't seen either film in years, but from memory, it's just a better written story about obsession.
