The movie that's being lauded as the scariest since The Exorcist. Until the next movie that gets lauded for being the scariest movie since The Exorcist.
They do liken it to The VViwtch as oppose to jump scare porn.
To be fair, this film wasn't ENTIRELY devoid of jump scares - there were three that I counted.
shareNot a bad review of the film. My impression was kind of in between theirs. I agreed that the slow burn build up was fun, but I also agreed the ending left something to be desired. (Not that I wanted the football team to jump in, but at least some more details on what the cult was planning and how the resurrection worked might have been nice.)
