Is spy comedy a tired genre?

I like it when I was younger (a kid) with spy comedies like Austin Powes and Spy Hard, Spy Kids, etc.

But they became lamer and lamer after Johnny English and Get Smart. I can already feel the jokes even before I watch these kind of movies. And they almost never make me laugh anymore, just a little smile here and there.

Are Austin Powers movies actually better or it just because I was a stupid kid back then? Granted I have never revisit those movies ever again, so I don't know if they hold up today.
