I don't get the hate although...

I expected to hate it just based on the overused premise. I liked it despite that though. A few things added to the premise that were different worked well. Stanley Tucci, Kiernan, et. al. did nice jobs with the 'somewhat' believable script. (I said somewhat.) And the vesps (and their eggs) were pretty cool for CGI.
