The Ending (Spoilers)

That ending was such a gut punch, Joe is able to forgive his rapist Damon, who's now a ailing old bitter dying old man. I think the audience were expecting him to kill Damon but it ends up been Dinah who chokes out her own bitter and evil mother. One can forgive, the other can't.

I'm sure it probably annoyed most who saw the ending, that you don't see the aftermath of what happened.But I loved that it doesn't matter what happens, as Anna (Joe Sister) said that Dinah is a deeply troubled woman and she was pushed over the edge, and the sad thing is she probably be caught for the murder of her mother, meaning the bitter old hag beat her again. While Joe doesn't let Damon actions get the better of him, he can move on with his life.

You could imagine if this was done by any other writer that Dinah and Joe would run off to Australia (where Joe's son is) together. But the fact life doesn't always have fairytale endings.
