Is Pitt's character based on the character actor Adam Roarke?

Roarke appeared as the lead in one of Tarantino's favorite movies, the Biker epic "Savage Seven". He also appeared in the 1980 movie "The Stuntman" as a leading actor in a film who was doubled by the titular stunt man.

In the trailer, Pitt's appearance reminded me of Adam Roarke. I was wondering if there was a connection between the character and Roarke.
