I like the new description!

Because I don't trust Tarantino to be historically accurate or insightful enough to tell the story of real people going collectively gaga, a movie about LA in 1969 is a much better fit for him.

Rather like Spike Lee's "Summer of Sam", but Tarantino does like to "pay homage" to other directors, doesn't he.
