Do you really think the reason why this whole thing ended so badly (it went bad before the ending. Back in S3) was because Villanelle and Eve didn’t swim off into the sunset? And Carolyn gets the spin-off.
shareNo, it went bad b/c --like so many shows-- they used all their bullets early in an effort to get renewed. Eve and V never should've gotten together in the first season. They squeezed out another season running back similar things to the first, but by S3 they were tapped out. That's why they started sending V off into these weird subplots that didn't work.
