Much better than it had a right to be…

I really didnt expect this to be very good but I was pleasantly surprised. This is not the typical Liam Neeson action vehicle. Admittedly its not breaking any new ground for originality but the story and characterizations show great care by the writers. This was not the mindless, throwaway actionfest, cashgrab it could have been. Solid direction and acting and the aforementioned writing elevate this production beyond so many low standard productions I have come to expect from todays filmmakers. If you want to hate it because it has an element of illegal immigration than you have your out but this film never preaches. A very surprising 8/10.
