He LOOKS to be over 60, which doesn't mean much because people "aged" faster in that era, BUT it also seemed like he had an older person's disease, with the hand trembling in a few parts... a review on IMDb says he is a veteran of "three wars" - I suppose those would be the War of Southern Rebellion, the Mexican-American War, and the Texas Revolution in 1836? If he were 16 in 1836, he would have been born in 1820, he would be 50 in 1870...
