My Glass Review.

Okay instead of spreading hate on the film. I didn’t like it for many reasons but I did love one thing. James McAvoy is spectacular in this role. The Scotsman is the only actor who manages to handle the pressure of the film. Watching him on screen is mesmerizing. If the script was as strong as his perform then Glass would have faired better. Watching Unbreakable now may be a little bit tainted but it’s worth it for this McAvoy performance.

If you want to know what I didn’t like. Check out my review: http://liamdeblogs.blogspot.com/2019/01/glass-review.html

Glass is a disappointment but thanks to this actor it’s not a complete waste of time.

Although I wouldn’t call this the most satisfying conclusion, overall I wasn’t disappointed with the film. I could even say I loved most of it. That said, James McAvoy truly elevates this thing. He was sublime and for my money he actually topped his performance in Split (which was already career best stuff, imo). A true beast! :)

I, however, thought Sam Jackson himself delivered an incredible performance as Mr. Glass. He was as good as, if not better than he was in Unbreakable. And that’s nothing but high praise.

Ultimately, McAvoy’s transformative and multi-dimensional performance is worthy of an Oscar.
