Frustrating as hell....

Despite the documentary and despite all the new media attention on the case both in the 90s and today they are still no closer to tagging the person or persons who did this.

Was it a serial killer? The one who killed Joyce Malecki?

Was it Billy and Ronnie Schmidt?

Edgar Davidson?

Gerald Koob?

Police?

They are not close to being able to tag any of these people and most are dead. DNA has not been tied to anyone and they even exhumed Maskell's body to get his DNA! He did not match either.

It seems the more information they have and the more people coming forward the less likely they will be able to officially blame anyone.

Jane Doe-Jean Wehner's story about seeing the body is not credible and very little help. I do believe she was sexually abused.

In the end we have a lot of information that concludes nothing. From a pure motive perspective Koob would be the one. Being spurned romantically is the motive for a lot of murder in this country. Koob's alibi was solid but it was another priest.

As for Maskell he was insulated and protected by the Catholic church and his many connections and friendships in the police. I doubt he would murder over his fear of one nun who wasn't even teaching at the high school any longer. I certainly do not think he would be so reckless to bring a girl to the body just to scare her.
