Stumbled onto this

And I have to say it surprised me. In a good way. I'm not a big Benedict Cumberbatch fan. I believe he can do good work, but I've only seen it a few times. Most of the time he seems to be phoning it in. (Maybe that's just the impression he makes on me. A lot of people seem very impressed by him.)

But he's stellar in this role. And the story is so meaty. I haven't read the source material, but maybe I'll give it a try.

I also really like the actress from Fortitude. She plays the ex-lover that he has a fling with.

And Jennifer Jason Leigh, who always intrigues me, really plays the mother to the hilt as well.
