Lacy was a protestant, not a Catholic....

So why did he have a crucifix, Mother Mary devotional prayer cards, saints, etc? Also why did the protestant pastor insist his son go to a Catholic school?

Is this revealed later on? Is it in King's short story? Because it looks like the writer/director doesn't know the difference between the 2.

Edit: In season 2, the pastor takes a monstrance ( where the Eucharist/Host) is kept & uses it against someone. Protestants don't believe in the Eucharist and in a flashback of the settlement, they were on a protestant church but had a Crucifix on the backdrop.

Something so simple is so clearly overlooked, the ones behind the visuals has no idea of the difference between the 2.
