Look let's face facts..this medical drama is designed to pull heartstrings...and we are all rooting for Dr. Shaun..but his unrequited love for his roommate Lea is like watching a puppy being kicked.
That's a compliment to Freddie Highmore's brilliant performance.

I only watch this show because of Freddie Highmore.
The Good Doctor started a few months after Bates Motel ended. It was/is my favorite show and I miss it so much! Freddie and Vera were awesome as Norma and Norman!
I was glad he was going to be on another show. I like it but I don't love it. Most of the characters I'm really not that crazy about. I wouldn't even bother watching it if Freddie wasn't in it but imo, his acting talents are being wasted. Although at times I see a hint of Norman coming out of Shawn (like when he gets real upset).
Still...I never miss a show because of "Norman!" 😁
