The ONLY time we see him do this is when he was on the highway along with his doppelganger and he phase shifted through the guard rail like the T-1000 through the jail cell. You'd think they would've used this more often to bypass a lot of shit instead of jumping up and around them, especially in the Border Patrol compound.
