"I hunt plot holes" [Spoiler Talk]

so in the end of t2 judgement day was presumably averted: miles dyson's work as well as the t-1000 and t-800 got destroyed, so no remains that could lead to the development of skynet. right?

but where does the t-800 carl come from who kills john connor in the beginning of 'dark fate'? was he send has a backup earlier (around the same time when the t-800 from t2 was send back in time)? if so, shouldn't his mission after killing john be to ensure skynet will be delevoped? otherwise he wouldn't exist, if there's no skynet in the future who sends him back in time.

it seems the whole 'legion' plot doesn't make any sense, there can either be skynet or legion. if skynet was averted, they can't keep sending back skynet terminators. and whom are those skynet terminators after, if john is already dead?

Don't try to make sense of time traveling movies. It always ends in a paradox.

reply

it contradicts its own internal time travel logic. also, tim miller lied in interviews when he said he doesn't like multiple timelines. now we got terminators from multiple timelines - even from a deleted timeline.

They just wanted any excuse to kill off young John Connor, because wokeness will never accept a white male as future world leader, only a girl of any other ethnic group than caucasian. It's a punch to the face of T1 and T2 fans with an iron gauntlet, to be honest.
