I miss The Wire

It was a masterpiece. There were so many characters, angles to the story. The themes carried across all seasons. McNulty, Bunk, Kima, Colvin, Omar, Stringer, Bodie, Prop Joe, Carcetti, Bubbles

This show is a Wire wannabe. The police detective character is so weak and wooden. A nothingburger character.

And I miss ''Oz'' but these times aren't coming back. The Chi has inconsistent talent, there are wooden actors in main roles and convincing actors in walk on roles. Watching the first episode of season 2 the most impressive actors showed up at the end playing the men robbing the old woman's home and beating her. They had a small part with little dialogue but their body language and intensity was excellent. That is what acting is about.

Been watching The Chi and while it isn’t anywhere near masterpieces like The Wire or Oz, it is ok. I like the chef with the taco truck. I want him to succeed. His girlfriend is unlikeable. The nurse caregiver lady is a good actress. Ronnie’s story is meandering and illogical at times. The three middle schoolers are funny at times too.
