I was hoping there would be a story

This documentary sort of hops from one interview and event to another without developing a coherent story. I think this may have been the product of too many sit-down interviews and general opinions on “the state of things.” It’s a niche documentary made for its niche audience. Had it been given some shape it could’ve appealed to people not necessaril6 interested in bodybuilding (like me).

It was really boring and unfocused. Rich Piana and the australian guy kinda ruined it IMHO.

First one was way better, a lot better! All the Mr. Olympia build up was amazing.

Definitely unfocused--that was actually the first word that came to my mind when the film ended. I still found some of the characters and interviews interesting, though. It was hit or miss but not bad overall, despite the lack of narrative.

I do agree the first one was better, although the 'story' there was basically just a rip-off of Pumping Iron, which is a much more compelling documentary than either of these updated versions.

Let's say the first one was just a "healthy" homage to Pumping Iron.
