Pongo Pygmaeus and a Culture that encourages spitting

This episode was very interesting to me. With today's "anti-bullying" why would the producers allow this episode? So now it is okay to physically assault a teammate just because he is a boy? Or is it because it is a small town? For a show that seems to be directed toward children are they sending the wrong message? Or is it because that was in the 80's? Don't get me wrong, this show is hilarious most times. But in today's culture that little girl would have ended up in juvenile detention.

Missy didn't physically assault one of her teammates she went after a pitcher who gunned the ball at her head. If it would have gone to trial that coach would have been in hot water for not doing anything at all about what his pitcher had done.
