This movie made no sense. SPOILERS

My husband warned me about this movie, but I didn't listen to him. He knew right away (I don't know how) that it was bogus. Should have listened to him.

SPOILERS!

Why did Rose want Phil to kill random people?
Did Phil really not know that his daughter was dead and visible only to him?
Why did he think that Val Kilmer's character had laid hands on Rose, if Rose had died in the house fire seven years prior?

*shakes head*

Makes no sense to me, at all.

I agree that it made no sense.

Also, who killed the teacher and her brother in the beginning?
Why did the blonde lady stop Walter from getting rid of the demon? Especially since she knew Rose was a demon.

They just walk out as a happy family and no one is going to care about all the bodies in the basement?

What happened to Vontelle?

Movies shouldn't leave so many questions completely unanswered. Stupid movie.

Val Kilmer was the only redeeming part, but one actor can only carry a shitty movie so far...

"Why did Rose want Phil to kill random people?"

How did he even get in the building to kill the first couple? How did Rose 'cast a shadow' as seen through the peephole by Beverly since she doesn't exist physically?

"Did Phil really not know that his daughter was dead and visible only to him?"

Yes! If he knows that she's just a ghost, why does he bother telling people about this non-existent daughter only he can see?

If he truly believes she is real, wouldn't he find it odd that for seven years, no one else ever saw this daughter?

Also, the other daughter initially seems cool with the fact that her father is constantly referring to this dead daughter, and talking to her. And only later does she explain the 'rule' that whoever sees the dead daughter will be killed. I would think this bit of critical information would be shared with police, counsellors, etc.

"Why did he think that Val Kilmer's character had laid hands on Rose, if Rose had died in the house fire seven years prior?"

Related: No one can see this daughter of his, but Kilmer can. So how did the father reconcile this fact against the fact that no one else can see this daughter?

Started off good, crashed and burned...
