death in venice meets brokeback mountain

I did not see very much new or special here. It is a bit hyped. With all the Oscar Nominations Visconti's Death in Venice (1971) should have gotten 10 Awards. It was far more subtile and visually intense that this movie.
It was beautifully shot of course and the both actors make solid performances but that's it.
