so the main casts fought to join the rest in carriage 15 , instead of leaving them there closer to the zombies they tell them to move to the front which is much safer.

Maybe there just isnt enough space at the front but why is everyone securing the entrance in the front when theres a horde of zombies at the back. It doesnt make sense that everyone is concerned about keeping the newly arrived group lock up instead of the mass of zombies at the back. Its just common sense to secure the back first which is a much bigger threat.

They could have release all the zombies out of the carriage at a safe place if they were actually smart. Since the zombies can't open doors, they could have stopped the train at a remote place, open door from the outside and run back to their safe carriage slamming the door shut. One person on the inside could run through the carriage and shut from the inside. Then repeat for the other compartments.

its too risky ,these arent the normal slow zombies where anyone can outrun. Safer to just leave them alone , besides the train is not a place for them to stay for the long haul.

I begged to differ. They outran the infected many times and closed the sliding doors successfully after except when the big guy got bit. However, they don't need be risky. Tap on the glass from the outside to get them to one side while the other open the door. The tap guy then duck out of their view and run back to the open side where both will make noise to draw them out. Then they both run into an open carriage where another will close right behind them. They can have another run through the now empty carriage to close the door behind the infected. Infected from carriage 9 will now be stuck outside. Do that again at another safe location until all the infected are off the train. Ez-peezy. Of course this would only work if they have contact with the engineer.

Couldn't they have just disengaged the train car, then keep going, leaving the car with the zombies in it behind? Are Korean trains not made that way?

That what I was thinking too, but I guess this model doesnt have that option.

I remember one of the characters asking the train driver if he can atleast take 2 carriages to busan.

It was asked by one of the passengers and I believe the Train engineer said it can't be done at their current terminal.

It was actually asked by the executive jerk stuck at the first "safe" station, who asks if the conductor can disengage the engine and speed away to Busan. By the way, this also showcases that this guy is a major *beep* because he already knows the city and station has been overrun, yet he doesn't warn the passengers.

From what it looks like, the train seems to be a KTX-1 (french made TGV like sold to Korea). Anyhow, the KTX-2 (korean made) is close enough.
You can't disengage the wagons, it's a permanently coupled trainset with a power car at the front and another at the end. Disengage, and I'm not sure it will roll :-)

the zombies overlapped really easily. They could of easily toppled the train.

Yes they can't open doors but they can easily see them. Plus the goal was to get to safety ASAP.

Yeah, I was was left scratching my head at that scene, I think the whole third act should have been rewritten.

They wanted to quarantine them in case they were infected and unlike the zombies, the survivors were able to open doors, so they started locking them in first. Which was a stupid idea in hindsight but it made sense from their (granted hysteric) perspective.

Good point. Front car is always safer.
Plus, everybody knows that you always lock the door on zombies.

You are right that it doesn't make sense. Because if the new arrivals are infected too they just trapped themselves and have no way out unless they smash the windows.

There were probably no seats, or not enough of them, at the front. It was more comfortable to stay in the carriage.
