I saw the stage performance....

....when I was on a cruise a couple of years ago. Well, I saw 15 minutes of it, anyway. The wife and I were completely bored by the thing, and we left quickly and easily, as we'd been seated in the rear of the theater.

I totally understand how this film bombed. The story and costuming simply aren't interesting enough for anyone other than seasoned attendees of Broadway shows.
