These really don't need to be 13 episodes.

None of the Netflix Marvel shows have needed to be 13 episodes. But it seems that's the formula they're sticking with.

I usually finish the series wishing there was more. The problem is with how some of them are stretched out.

I think Marvel and Netflix will eventually get away from the 13 episode format and just let the stories span as many episodes as they should.

13 may be the target but if they're writing it and it really fits better as 11 or 10 or something they should do that.

It comes down to dvd release rules. 13 1 hour episodes is the minimum to put out a season/series release dvd

It doesn't matter how many episodes are in there, just as long as the show itself is great

Isn't The Defenders only going to be 8 episodes? If that's true then i'm kind of worried. I hope that's not the first show that is mostly just action and cheesy one liners like The Avengers.
