This show is much better than the original : )

It's a bit more mental! More mentally unstable people I think. The others only had Psycho Rocky, and very horny alcoholics (Sam switching teams was a bit crazy too lol)...this crew has crazy Danny, Bully and Sexist Boss (what's his name again, not Bobby), eating disorder Tiff, neurotic Hannah/Kate Winslet, and who else am I missing.

Agreed. Much more entertaining- and beautiful scenery!

I agree, like it a lot more! The people on the other show seem trashy with their arrests and nude photos (etc etc).
Would love to see a spinoff of Julia in London as an up and coming fashion designer.

Yes, I like this one better too. I look forward to each episode. My dvr taped one on Friday but it ended up being that Bravo 15 min sneak peek show. Ahh, that was a mean teaser. I was settling in to watch the whole thing.

Books has no sound

I agree. I have only watched two seasons of BD, so based on just that, BDM has a more international cast and fewer drama queens.

As an American who has been watching US reality tv for more than 20 years, I have grown weary of shows with too many whiny Americans who are lazy type-A drama queens. Almost all BD crew fit that description. BDM crew have a few, esp s1. But after s1 BDM crew get much better. There’s still plenty of drama, due to the producers keeping horrid Hannah and hiring lousy chefs, but it’s still more watchable than BD.

And I like Capt Sandy soooooo much better than Capt Lee. Lee comes off as a prejudiced close-minded old fart who can’t seem to grasp that his old fashioned military style leadership isn’t going to fly with millennials.

In fact, the US military has evolved their leadership style in order to improve their success rate with millennials. Capt Lee probably doesn’t know that.
