Kind of surprised, thought they'd go to 4 or 5 and cover The Book of Dust as well. Maybe they'll wait a few years and then do a revival so they don't have to recast Lyra? Though La Belle Sauvage probably works better as flashbacks, as it occasionally has, without having its own season

They'd make a decision on something like that at a later date. From what I understand though, the viewer ratings were borderline for a season 3 renewal. So it would probably have to perform better next season for them to consider further installments.
