Damn!....It’s Going to Be a Long Year...

Waiting for the final installment of this which I’m glad to hear IS coming but before HOW long exactly? Something tells me it won’t be on time for this time next year. The differences between the book & the show are interesting, as I know that Will is supposed to be taken to Asriel by 2 angels & that it’s a witch that was supposed to kill Jopari. One who was spurned as a lover by him, but I’m glad (well not glad) that he was killed by a solider of the magisterium instead. That’s a change that I can approve of.

Heartbroken over Scoresby & Hester dying, I don’t know the novels well enough to know if I’ll see them again. I’m tired of Ms. Coulter successfully getting the drop on everybody, human, witch, spectre, what have you. In a new world she just happens upon Lyra! C’mon! I just don’t buy it but if that’s the way the shows script is written I can’t do anything about it. God is she CRUEL to her daemon! But he finally got some me time with her although not the kinda attention he wanted, but at least she acknowledged him, even if out of cruelty.

Does Will suspect that something bad happened to Lyra? After all he did leave but I don’t think he noticed the blood spilt on the rock or did he? Adding to that I’m pissed off that Jopari didn’t keep his word to Scoresby & tell Will to put Lyra under his protection. He had no way of knowing Will already knew her right? Unless in his view it’s assumed that Will would since he’s his son.

Since I know hardly anything about the Amber Spyglass, will it be a long arduous journey for him to reunite with Lyra or does that happen quickly (I hope)? Poor Serafina is going to be pissed that everyone’s gone & all her sisters are dead. I’m annoyed that this season finale was 10 minutes shorter also but that’s HBO. Go figure. Too bad that I/we couldn’t make out the words to the title song since it was sung in the season finale. My subtitles didn’t work for that.

Good of McAvoy to make an appearance. Probably got paid through the nose for that too, but not our problem.
