Saw it last night
No idea why this thing won 'best picture'. I mean it wasn't bad, just kinda strange and weird.
It was an alright film. By no means was this the best movie of 2017. What is Hollywood smoking?
I felt the same way. It was a beautifully shot film but the story was pretty cookie cutter and I thought Michael Shannon's character was too over-the-top. Not bad, but I could see the script being used in a Twilight Zone episode or even a Syfy movie (with far inferior spx, mind you).
