One cannot use humans as benchmark for non-human beings

This movie implies it but didn't show it clearly enough.

A normal human can more or less carry its own weight and jump/leap its own height, an ant can carry 50 times its weight (imagine a human carrying 4 tons), a flea can jump 100 times its height (imagine a human making a 150 meter jump), etc...

So when talking about Calvin a life form that we have no idea existed or what it is about we have no idea how fast it can grow, think smart, etc... Because we cannot use humans or animals or insects as reference since it is something else something totally new.
