No Randy Johnson???

All I can imagine is that he refused to be part of the film. In my memory, he was alongside Ryan in being the hardest throwing, most intimidating pitcher of his era. They could have used the John Kruk All Star game bail out (or the exploding pigeon). He was mentioned by two fomer players, but that was the only time his name was heard. Unreal....

Randy made his career on his Slider (aka Mr. Snappy), and though it was nasty too, his Fastball wasn't his main weapon.

Fun fact related to Johnson, Ryan, and Seaver: Johnson's career was having trouble until a sit-down with the two greats. Nolan suggested alterations to Randy's motion/delivery that resulted in immediate returns.

I’m surprised he wasn’t talked about more, too. One of the players in the round table talks picked him along with Nolan as the two hardest throwing, I think.
