Why didn't Jughead just go to Toleto after Graduation?

It made no sense to me that he stayed behind and was essentially homeless for months before going off to college, i mean he stayed in Archie's house with the electric shut off, he then went and stayed inside the bunker in the woods. And i'm just thinking bro why don't go to Toleto and be with your family until you leave for college? Would beat being homeless with no one around for months.

He seemed to wanna stay with them and not go to college for most of the episode anyways, makes no sense he wouldn't go and be with them until he had to leave for college. Just seemed odd to me that he was homeless all that time before leaving for college when he could've went and been with his dad, mom and jellybean in Toleto.
