Is this about Amanda Knox?

I think it's obvious that the backbones of the story were pulled from the Amanda Knox case - American exchange student whose roommate is stabbed to death and her sole alibi is her boyfriend and they both have dubious memories of the night the roommate was murdered. There was also the bloody footprint which was supposed to be the American student's. Also the fact that there may have been tensions between the American student and her roommate and this is what the prosecution said was the motive.

It's very clearly inspired by it, but it's not about her. The show is the same basic "story" as the Knox case, with an American woman living abroad and her foreign boyfriend being looked at for the brutal murder of her roommate. But the details are all different.

Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.
