Did anyone here like THE EXORCIST III?
i absolutely love part 3. it's IMO the scariest installment yet (even though i DO love the original film). part 3 is in my top 5 horror movies ever. the hallway/nurse scene alone is scary as f^ck.

shareIt's not my favorite, but I enjoyed it. Haven't watched it in ages though.

Yes i love III (and Scream Factory is releasing a special edition in October and i'm hoping it will have the infamous deleted material that Blatty had to trim and reshoot). I think it has some of the creepiest imagery (such as the weird joker looking statue holding a dagger- not to mention the nurse/hallway scene, and those weird gigantic scissor things! And it has some of the greatest sound design as well.

ktm444, i can't wait for the Scream Factory release! i pre-ordered mine when i first heard about it! i agree w/ everything yo wrote. the sound design is especially scary (which is something that rarely happens to me when i watch horror movies these days) in the confession scene with the old woman.
shareI have not watched this yet,def going to check it out.
sharebranwese, i hope you like it too! i'm a lifelong horror movie fan and there's really 2 or 3 movies that still manage to scare/creep me out to this day. THE EXORCIST III and THE CHANGELING (oddly enough, both films star George C. Scott!) are 2 films that do that. i always have to turn my lights on at some points in each film because they creep me out so much. LOL.
shareSorry but it was awful. Now the last one was terrific and had some good scary moments. I remember my wife and son quaking in fear on either side of me.
shareYep... one of the most underrated horror movies of all time imo. A true sequel to the original.
"I love a coward!"
Yes. I liked part 3 much better than part 2...but not as much as the first film.

If vampires hate "plus signs" - imagine how they feel about the "square root" symbol.
It's OK. I like the detective character a lot and the mystery surrounding the psych ward and the still alive body of Fr. Karras from the first movie.
shareI like how the extended version of The Exorcist better links both the first and third movie.
The final scene in The Exorcist is father Dyer gazing at those stairs and the first scene of Exorcist III is father Dyer 15 years later gazing at those same infamous stairs.
