Binge watching season one. Please kill the doctor

I have no reason to believe that the actor portraying the doctor is bad, but the character, the dialogue, her reaction to situations, are all crap. I am 10 episodes into season 1, and every single episode has been made worse by her presence. It all started in the first episode when the world was falling down around her, and she was questioning everything the military personnel were saying to her. Her reactions to situations are so phony they can't be believable. It takes away from some of the cool scenes and makes the show feel low budget and poorly written. In all fairness, most of the characters have some poorly written scenes, but hers are the creme de la creme. I'm hoping her character gets better, as I can see the actor was nominated for a Leo Award (whatever that is).
