Me? Probably! The crews it most Star Trek series? Generally not... though I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to be on their guard. This would be the kind of situation where I'd expect someone to restrict their search to an area OUTSIDE the transporter shielding at least until they have a clue what exactly is going on. Or better yet, maybe they can come up with a way to disable the shielding from outside.
