I don't get it.

While this wasn't a terrible film, what was the point? If you're going to do a slasher 30 or 40 years after it's all been done, you'd better bring something new to the table.

Nothing to see here people, please move along.

It's a slasher. You cannot change it. That's why it's a slasher.

THAT'S the point.

Yeah? Welcome to the world of movies. Everything ever done will be recycled ad infinitum.

I guess some of us just never get tired of seeing helpless teenagers getting killed by masked psychos. *shrug*

Yes, and SPOILER ALERT!!!!! we all knew when she got the killer down, she wasn't gonna bash his head to pulp. She was gonna leave him there, so he could get up while her eyes were turned away so he could kill her.

You know... I expected that mistake would result in a final confrontation between the two of them, but I totally didn't expect it to end so tragically for her. Slashers tend to have good prevail over evil (more than paranormal movies at least), so the ending of Fender Bender surprised me first time I saw it.

SPOILER ALERT!

Yes, I did think she was gonna be another Jamie Curtis.

I mean... she was an aspiring dancer...I'd think leaving her alive with savage leg wounds would have been cruel enough... some more deep stabs of them perhaps. Maybe then in a sequel, the director could have taken on the revenge movie genre.

Overall a 6.5 this movie, but it was my first slasher in awhile so that's probably over-generous.

The movie did bring one surprising thing to the table: The 'final girl' dies (not to mention the killer lives). I wasn't expecting that.
