S02E07 Marty & Rachel terrible talk (spoilers)

I should start off by saying I absolutely love this show! Season 2 is even better for me.

I have to take some scenes (well, quite a lot hehe) with a pinch of salt.. but that whole scene with Marty and Rachel having one audible conversation *for Petty's bug, and another via text was taking the ridiculous to a new level. For starters, the scene relies on the fact that you have to be face to face to text each other. I mean, it would have been easier to not have a different conversation whilst having another via a mobile phone.

The result is a really, really awful smoke screen chat. I mean it so was transparent what was going on, it was like a parody! But if that wasn't enough to alert FBI agent Petty, then the text button clicks certainly would have. Or the message sent swoosh alert. Both of them. Does anyone anywhere not turn off the text click these days? Why wouldn't they mute their phones? I would understand if the scene was to somehow bait Petty for something, but it wasn't. Prob gone on a bit too much there.

A bizarre scene for me, in an otherwise great episode..
