Interesting, worth a watch

The main character played by Adrian Martinez - who is a familiar face from comedic roles where he's usually a goof and subject of some mockery if not pity - is a portrayal of loneliness and rejection, something that is maybe an epidemic in current society.

We see things from his view, things that would make us judge him as a creep - and not unfairly. He is a creep, even if not dangerous, he's someone that would creep any of us out. But many of us are living life like this.

So, at one point I couldn't tell if the movie switched over to a dream sequence - when things start going his way. I don't want to say too much.

This made me think a lot, about the kind of people we see here and why they are how they are. With the Gilbert character but also a lot with the abusive Tony and the love interest Jana, and Gilbert's mother.

Even the ending was made just right to make the viewer think, about how this ends. Good watch.

This was really good, and both leads were excellent. I almost couldn't bring myself to watch this as the stylized titled makes my eyes roll, but I'm glad I did.
