They left it with Jennie taking the number one spot and a new actress coming on. The second half of the series probably has a story in it too.

Theoretically, they could've shown what happened throughout the 10 seasons (FULL HOUSE lasted almost the same amount of seasons, and they were covered (well, summarized) in the other movie). They chose not to because they thought people would be more interested in the conflicts with Shannen Doherty. I think that's also why the epilogue didn't show that Shannen and Jennie Garth made up.
shareDoubt it. The entire point was that the heyday of this series was with this ensemble. The fan rushes did not happen with the cast changes. Nobody mobbed the later cast members.
