3 scenes of sex in the first 10 minutes?

I am not a prude or anything but when I see unnecessary nude/sex scenes in tv it always struck me as a gimmick.
Especially when it is in the beginning of a show. (Hated the beginning of Billions with Giammati in BDSM)
It's like to lure people into it like the swimsuit women or men in the cover of a magazine.

I don't know if it is worth my time. My only curiosity is about the Gen/Bitcoin.

Stick with it through all ten eps. I don't know why they put all the sex in that first one either but it's not indicative of the whole series.

reply

Yeah, I did that already.
It is a good show overall. I liked their bonding. An unlikely trio.

It was as I said in my first post. They put the sex scenes in the pilot to lure the (brainless in my opinion) part of the audience.

reply

yup. kids in the next room and I gotta hit the volume every 5 minutes. To hell with this show.

Sex scenes were just obvious pandering to the shock factor junkies.

Same with the level of violence...

I'm in the middle of watching ep 5 and was surprised by how over the top it got the last couple episodes. I got into this show because I liked the concept and the characters, but do I really need to watch a pregnant woman getting shot at? This is a smart show but it seems to be trying to dumb itself down to appeal to those with short attention spans that need sex and shootouts to stay interested, which is a shame...

reply

Yeah, way too much gratiitous sex. Who wants to see Martin Freeman at it like in some chinzy porn? Porn is all over the internet. Why do producers still feel the need to put sex into shows?
